Emma Elizabeth Curry's Inspiring Vision

July 4, 1926 - September 1, 2015

"The Vision Behind HS-King George RV Park."
My mother, Emma Elizabeth Curry, learned the meaning of responsibility at a very young age. When her mother died at only 37 years old, Emma was just 11. While continuing her education, she also worked on the family farmland and helped care for her younger siblings. Those early years helped shape the woman she became.

In 2005, my mother became the official Administrator associated with the family property through King George County. She remained deeply connected to her family's legacy throughout her life.
After her passing, I knew that preserving the family's connection to this land could not simply end with her generation. In 2025, I moved forward as the c/o (in-care-of) point of contact for the family property and began taking a more active role in understanding its history, boundaries, responsibilities, and future possibilities.
